K. Thomas Elghanayan, Chairman, TF Cornerstone
As Chairman and co-founder of TF Cornerstone, Tom Elghanayan oversees a distinguished commercial and residential real estate portfolio of more than over 8 million sq. ft. throughout New York City and Washington, D.C. Tom is actively involved in supervising acquisitions, planning, sales, residential marketing and management. He continues the Elghanayan family's tradition of providing properties that will stand the test of time.
Prior to TF Cornerstone, Tom and Fred founded Rockrose Development Corporation in 1970 with their older brother Henry, contributing to the company's growth as one of the most respected commercial and residential development firms in New York City. During his over four-decade-long career in the real estate industry Thomas helped build and manage more than 8 million sq. ft. of commercial and residential space. He has earned a reputation as a forward-thinker who has set the standard for building style and quality, while paving the way into New York's burgeoning neighborhoods.
Tom was born in Iran and moved to Queens with his family as a child. He earned his Master in Business Administration at Harvard University and his Bachelor of Arts at Yale University. In addition to being passionately involved with his company, Tom is also an avid member of the greater real estate community. He is a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Executive Committee for the Alliance for Downtown New York, the Yale Club of NYC, Downtown-Lower Manhattan Association and the Carnegie Hall Society.
